Freestanding cedar pergola and flagstone gathering area

Stained cedar posts and exposed beams give this independent pergola its rustic character. Beneath the open roof slats, a natural flagstone base defines a compact outdoor gathering area.
This 12 ft × 12 ft cedar pergola stands independently in the yard rather than attaching to the home. Four posts and an open slat roof frame the seating area while keeping views of the surrounding lawn.
The approximately 120 sq ft natural flagstone base brings a defined stone surface beneath the gathering space. Three original photographs show the structure from the yard and provide a closer view of the cedar framing.
The listed installation combines the stained cedar structure with a sealed flagstone base. Privacy screening, lighting and additional patio area are available to discuss separately for a similar project.
